You watch too much television or you're just old, feeble and paranoid.

I don't know if he's old and feeble, but he's definitely paranoid. I
don't have a problem with guns. If you want to carry, go for it, but if
you think you need a gun for protection, you have been watching to much
television. I'm 60 years old, and I've never been shy about where I
travel, but in all that time, I've never been in a situation where I
though I needed a gun. I have been in a few situations where I'm glad
guns weren't around. I don't even like carrying the weight of a watch, I
sure can't see carrying a gun around for years, on the off chance I might
have a use for it. Hell, the average cop never pulls his gun.

I have permits good for carry on the eastern seaboard from maryland down
to florida. I only place I actually "carry" while on the road is in
south carolina. I regularly visit construction sites, sometimes in
pretty bad 'hoods in DC, Baltimore, New Orleans, et cetera, and never
feel the need to go heeled there.

When we visit the property out on the shenandoah in virginia, I open
carry. There are packs of feral dogs and the occasional bear out there
on and between the two mountain ranges. Almost everyone I've seen out on
the lesser-known trails is "carrying" for that reason. My guess is the
dogs are far more of a threat than the small bears.

If someone tries to break into the house here, they likely are going to
be shot. Period.
