I've done both. In good weather I prefer outside. There are too
many lift bridges inside, some on inconvenient schedules. There are
also some skinny water issues inside but you should be OK with that.
Inside has the advantage of having anchorages, marinas and restaurants
however.
...and some real close golf courses, especially in Myrtle Beach. I'd
bet those homeowners with the docks in the back and the golf course in
the front would let you stop for a few hours, especially if you
offered to pay the green fees.
If only herring could cruise or play golf, he could get a writing
assignment from a golf or cruising magazine. But, then, he can't write,
either.
