hey I talked to a guy from Havana IL today and he said that there's
almost no boating done in the Illinois river in that area because of
all the flying carp.

Way too dangerous he says because people are getting hurt when the
things jump out of the water.

Like I said in the past Instead of throwing the poison in the Chicago
Channel, they should have gone down by Peoria and started hitting them
there.

There's no reason to let the carp take over like that.....

No practical way of stopping them.

Oh, I know that's true, but the bio toxin that was placed in the
chicago river was a safe guard against an invasion when they shut the
fence down for maintenance.

But it seems that the real threat of the carp is in the illinois river
in centeral Illinois, and I have no I deal why the dept. of
concervation hasn't done something to at least attempt to 'thin the
herd' in that location.

All it takes is one breeding pair, they can make rabits look infertile.
While we like to think we can control mother nature it isn't going to
happen. So why polute the rivers more than they already are? Seems
like a waste of money and environment.

To me it is like salt and pepper. We put too much salt on our food,
then peper it up as to hide the salt. Then when too peppery we add more
salt. Really does not work.

I know if I was a fish, swiming in an electrical field would be a
shocking experience. One could even say cruelty to fish.

Mind you, haven't seen onefly yet.
