I tried to install MaxSea 10.3.2.1 on a new laptop with W7 Home
Premium.
Installation went fine but it won't run.
Anybody here who found a solution?
Regards,
Len.
Why in hell would anyone buy a new 64-bit Win7 laptop to replace a
perfectly-good-working WinXP (or whatever it was) laptop that MaxSea
10.3.2.1 ran perfectly under?
Is there a motive I missed??
Win7 was invented to sell new software and obsolete old software, as you've
just found out. It's not good, ol' backwards-compatible DOSware any more.
Sorry....I'm sure MaxSea has the answer. Please have your extended credit
limit credit card ready when you call....
We COULD take this new PoS back to its mother and boot up the old system
and go sailing, again....Not a bad plan, once you get used to it.
Boat software and hardware still thinks laptops have SERIAL ports! They're
always a few years behind the bleeding edge of technology, which partly
explains the dogged clutching it does to NMEA-0183 and RS-422...(c;]
At least, now, it's in color, other than DOS 3.3's green monochrome
screen....
