My trip to the Abacos in my 28' sailboat which has turned into a
caving trip is suddenly getting crowded. *I shoulda expected this.
Cavers are all crazy and think nothing of jumping at any opportunity
for crazy adventure. *Whereas I could not get any sailing types to go
unless I offered more "civilized" accomodations, the cavers think
nothing of bad food and being uncomfortable so I now have too many
crew.
Me: *Its only a 28' boat.
Matt: *I'll sleep in the dinghy behind the boat or maybe I'll put my
climbing hammock up the mast.
Me: *I get really annoyed and moody when the boat is crowded.
Matt: *OK, Alan and I will take turns, he can go ashore and hitchhike
one day and me the next. We'll leave our caving gear on the boat.
Me: *Where would you sleep?
Matt: *I'll take a piece of plastic I sleep under on my trips. *BTW,
can you carry my dive tanks?

Then there's the single woman who wants to go, how do I say no to her
to keep my wife happy?

Potential Crew: *How much room do you have for beer or booze?
Me: *I don't drink, alcohol gives me too much heartburn.
PC: *Do you have any room for beer.
Me: *Yes but I never buy ice
PC: *How do you eat?
Me: *Peanut butter and Pop Tarts, maybe some apples.
PC: *No beer?

He drops out.

Peanut butter and pop tarts...a sailing adventure for the gourmet
crowd...along with Annie Green Springs to wash it all down! *:)

Annie Green Springs? Surely there's better hooch than that. Maybe
Bartels & James?

Well, non alcoholic beverages like Vess Peach or Sams Cola (78c per 2
Liter) Would probably fit the bill as well.
