We read the Constitution when I was in school, but that is something I
believe is no longer accomplished. That is sad and is a malfeasance
that should be corrected. I'd like to see less "standardized testing"
and more learning of the three "Rs" plus a bit of elocution, logic,
and citizenship.
I think it is a good thing that the House read the Constitution. I'm
sure somebody heard something in it that they had never heard before.
What I *don't* understand is why the decision was made to leave out
certain parts and not respect the document as the original framers
wrote it.
They should have read the whole thing. They didn't.
