ethanol production. This is basically a federal subsidy to the
mid-western farm states. A lot of analysis has shown that it takes
more energy to produce ethanol than it delivers on the highway. Yet
another example of big government mis-management and political
meddling.

And, as corn is a basic food of much of our beef, pork, and poultry, the
production of ethanol hurts the major constituency of the Democratic
Party - the
poor.

But, the best way to keep their support is to keep them dependant and
uneducated.
