One solution is to put all you mustered out military rah-rah types in a
dory with oars and shotguns and send you out on anti-pirate patrol. That
might not take care of the pirate problem, but it would give you boys
something useful to do...and with guns, too.

Still with the personal insults and never a constructive solution. You
must make the left proud to call you a associate.

It was sarcasm, bertie-birther. I don't have the answer. Neither do the
governments of those fighting the pirates. Neither do you, or anyone
else in rec.boats. I was just posting a way to keep you war-mongering
assholes busy.

Nobody ever solved a problem without an idea and you have never had an
idea. So, we are not surprised that you don't have the answer.

Well, bertie-birther, as soon as you have a reasonable idea on how to
end piracy, I'm sure we'll hear about it.

Why don't you put forth an idea or are you just waiting to **** on
everyone else's ideas?

The pirate problem will either be solved by governments or not. It won't
be solved by former marines who never had overseas postings or by old
English majors like me.

That is where you are wrong and where the root of your problem is. You
are a classist.

With a world view like yours the wheel never would have been invented
because the buy didn't have a Masters or Doctorate in engineering
therefore, according to you, he didn't have the ability to engineer the
wheel.

There isn't enough military interdiction knowhow in this newsgroup to
stop a Brownie troop from crossing from one side to another of a school
playground.

If you have a *workable* idea that will stop the piracy, Bertie-Birther,
let's see it. I've already suggested that the solution may be in more
countries volunteering more assets so that a much larger area of the
oceans there can be properly patrolled.

Hell, our Navy isn't doing anything these days. Keep some assets on the
North Korea watch and ship the rest over to where they might do
something useful. Bill the seafaring countries of the world for the costs.
