How has the demand changed in 10 years? I would guess there is more
gasoline sold. The taxes are another matter. I'll look into that.
Here is some good info on diesel prices.

Worldwide demand for diesel has gone way up.

Good information, thanks.
It is obviously biased away from popular folk wisdom however since
there was no category in the pie chart breakdown called "Greedy
Corporate Speculative Excess Profits". I don't see how they could
have missed an obvious item like that in an otherwise well researched
article. :-)
Agent just ate my reply with a typo, and in 13 yeaars, I have never
figured out how. Our Lincoln Navigator has four cams and 32 valves and
only manages to get 14 at 70. The thing some real walnut trim,
steering wheel, little plates containing the window and door lock
switches. Nice looking. So, I sometimes call it:' The Sliverado.'

My Silverado gets 14 mpg - when I'm pulling the travel trailer. But, that's
40% better than my
4Runner got, so I'm not complaining.
My 1999 Expedition sucked fuel. 14,5 mpg was about normal. In 100,000
miles the best I ever got on a long trip was 16.5 mpg, and that was from Los
Angeles to Pleasanton and I do not think I ever got over 65 mph. My 300 HP
327 SS 1964 Impala got better than that, and would do 142 mph.- Hide quoted text -

My 'vette has 436 HP, does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, and has a top speed
of 190 mph. I'm getting 22 mpg around town and nearly 27 on the
highway. Of course, it only weighs 3200 lbs and it's easy to push
through the air. You just can't compare these big, heavy, blunt SUVs
to cars. Apples and oranges.
Gee, my less powerful little sports car gets to 60 as quickly as yours,
and gets better mileage, too. Of course, it also isn't suitable for
pulling a heavy boat trailer, so why bother mentioning it? Oh...you
wanted us to know you had a plastic sports car!
That's Harry, never miss an opportunity to be a true asshole....
It's pretty funny... notice how he fails to mention exactly what "less
powerful little sports car" he has? That's because if he really has
one, it isn't nearly a 4.3 second car. Not taking anything away from
small, nimble British or other marque sports cars, but they are
typically 6-10 second cars. They are great fun to drive, but even a
base Corvette will eat them alive on a track.
But if he can post a pic of his chubby fingers holding a harry nametag
with that little sports car in the background that has a 0-60 time of
4.5 seconds or less, I know we'd all like to see it!
Gosh...took five seconds to find a Brit sports car that accelerates as
quickly as your 'vette:
http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/carpag...persports.html
Too bad you don't have one....
And it's a little slower and and gets about the same mileage as the
'vette. But didn't he write "my less powerful little sports car gets
to 60 as quickly as yours, and gets better mileage"? Now the best he
can do is google up a car he doesn't have that isn't as fast, and gets
about the same mileage. ~snerk~ You'd think he'd point us to the
website with the specs of the car he supposedly *does* have with those
performance parameters. Oops, the website and car would have to
exist.
You commented about "British" sports cars and how most of them were
lacking in performance. I pointed you to one of many that is not lacking.
I see no reason to mention the brand names here of current cars,
motorbikes, boats, et cetera. BTW, I'm pretty sure my motorbike will
out-accelerate your 'vette to 60 mph and some ways beyond.
If you had one. You see, you don't realize this because you're stupid,
but in the past, the things that you really DO own, if someone called
you on it, you'd offer up a picture in a heart beat. And when you don't
really have something, no picture. You're too easy to read, so you get
caught in your lies.
Of one thing we are certain. He does have a coffee maker and a grungy sink.
