Bachmann concedes she misspoke on Wayne's hometown

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann is
acknowledging "misspeaking" occasionally, including wrongly claiming
that actor John Wayne was from her Waterloo, Iowa hometown, but says
she's "a substantive, serious person" who would be a good president.

Announcing her candidacy on Monday, Bachman flubbed her hometown history
in declaring "John Wayne was from Waterloo" and "that's the kind of
spirit that I have, too."

The actor was born nearly 150 miles away. It was the serial killer John
Wayne Gacy Jr. who lived, for a time, in Waterloo.

Bachmann said her comments "were just misspeaking."

(Bull****...it was just another example of her mindlessness)

"I wish I could be perfect," Bachmann told CNN on Tuesday. "I'm a
substantive, serious person" who has "good sense on how to turn the
economy around" as president.

(By eliminating the minimum wage?)

She unprepared in every sense and unprofessional, just like Palin.

The GOP loves these women.

I'm doing my part. I just sent the following off to a number of news
programs/outlets:

Marcus Bachmann, Michele Bachmann's spouse, has two mental health
clinics in Minnesota bearing his name, "Bachmann & Associates."

Bachmann, who claims a PhD, apparently got his degrees from "Christian
diploma mills" via "distance learning. I've posted the bio info from his
website below. Regent University is Pat Robertson's operation. Union
Graduate Institute...well, who really knows?

Further, in looking over his site, "Dr." Bachmann seems to be without a
license to offer mental health services, and only some of his employees
appear to have licenses.

"Dr. Marcus Bachmann, president of Bachmann & Associates, has been a
clinical therapist in the Twin Cities for more than 20 years. Marcus is
a popular conference speaker with practical insights, biblical
principles, and humor interwoven in his messages.

"I believe my call is to minister to the needs of people in a practical,
caring and sensitive way.

"Dr. Bachmann received his Masters degree in education/counseling from
Regent University located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He received his
Doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Union Graduate Institute
located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

"Marcus and his wife, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann are the parents of
five children and have been foster parents to more than 20 children. The
family lives in the St. Croix Valley."
