There is a difference between Capitol punishment for committing a crime,
and just grabbing random people off the street and killing them for pure
entertainment as is the obvious case in the video...

Exactly, but what you saw on that vid was not capitol punishment, it was
entertainment for Saddam...
Again, capital punishment has always been a spectator gathering. If it
wasn't it wouldn't be a very good deterent.
