HERMAN CAIN: I do view China as a potential military threat to the
United States. [...] They've indicated that they're trying to develop
nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like
we have. So yes, we have to consider them a military threat.

Uh, pizzaguy...China has had nuclear weapons for nearly 50 years.
Perhaps you should run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska...
China having nukes is cold war thinking. Having aircraft carriers is
21st century thinking. If they can project conventional power like the
US does, it does blunt our monopoly on domination of 3d world
countries.
I am sure they also have an active drone program going too, basically
cloning our drones.
Some of us, yourself included, pay attention to the real news and are
aware the PRC has been modernizing its archaic military forces in many
ways and is interested in more ways to project force.
The "beyond dumb" part of Cain's statement is his belief China is
"...trying to develop nuclear capability..."
The PRC has had nuclear capability for a long time. The Russians helped
them get started but for many decades, the Chinese have been capable of
developing their own nukes. The PRC also has more than a dozen nuclear
power plants.
They're already well along in the process of developing their own
aircraft carriers and phasing out the hand-me-down carriers they now have.
Cain has proven over and again he knows nothing about foreign affairs
and not much about anything else. He's the perfect addition for a
Palin-Bachmann-Cain troika.
This is hilarious. The guy obviously didn't expect to get this far in
the race and now finds himself at the center of scrutiny.
He's a motivational speaker who wanted to raise his profile.
Raised it is. And it could either kill his book selling business or
make it fly.
Fact is the fleabaggers hate him. Don't think he is old boys golden
handshake club either. Be it fleabagger or masonic, bet they want Cain out.
Thus makes him a good choice for the people. Less corrupt for starters.
As often the favorite boys are supported by the back room corruption boys.
