hello
not sure about the gps, but the 1621, check the fuse in the power lead,
its contained in a little white case, if the fuse is good, disconnect
the scanner plug in the back of the display and try switching it on, if
it still doesnt work there are only 2 pcbs inside the display. chances
are its the bigger of the too that is faulty. thats the most expensive
too, of course

Maybe you'll be lucky and just have some corroded electrical connections or
need to replace a fuse. You could ask the previous owner if he knew what was
wrong with the GPS and radar. Furuno has a lot of info available on line and
they also give good customer service.
try this for the manual:

Hi all,
I just bought a boat that has a Lowrance Global Map 1000, and a Furuno
1621
mark-2 radar. I have been trying to find info on the lowrace to see if
it
works as a chart plotter or just a fancy GPS. And the radar I cannot even
get
to power up. I did not buy the boat because of the electronics, as far as
I am
concerned, its is just icing on the cake should I get them to work for me.
Any info given to me on these units I will greatly appreciate.
Thanks
Rick
