You've got your KHz and MHz mixed up. :-)
These so called "numbers" stations have been boadcasting on shortwave
frequencies for years. Someone once used a direction finder to track
one of them down - turned out to be a restricted US Gov location in
Maryland.
Yup I caught that right after I posted it but I thought I would let
someone have fun correcting me ;-)
That "restricted site" wouldn't be the Puzzle Palace, at Ft Meade,
would it?
You can say NSA now. They have signs on the road and they advertise a
museum that you can go to on the grounds.
