Default Satellite Weather

I used JVComm32 for the last 45 days on a 1200 nmi trip up and down Baja and
mainland Mexico. I was very happy with its performance using it to receive
HF Weather Fax data from Pt Reyes, CA. It just worked well, that's all I
can say. I was plugged into the aux speaker output of an Icom 710 and
feeding into the sound card line input of a (relatively) old Thinkpad 600.
That information, together with Amigo Net input, enabled me to have a really
good insight of the weather along our route, as well as some prognosis for
weather further up/down the route.

That's my $0.02 worth.

I would like to hear from anyone who regularly uses JVComm32 for receiving
weather data via radio. I understand that you can use the software with
marine
SSB as well as satellite at both VHF(137MH) and 1.7GH. What experience?

Is
it worth a buy at approximately $75 (60 Euros)?

Any other S/W that can do this job?

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

TIA

Vic
