It is like what flying used to be 40 years ago, inflation adjusted,
about the same price.
I used to fly several times a week. On occasion I got bumped to FC. To
me, it isn't worth the extra cost. Flying ain't what it used to be. I
dread the prospect of ever having to fly again. But, of course, to each
his own. That's what I've been preaching to Harry lately.
Some of the biggest advantages to first class come before you get to
the plane. We pack pretty heavy and it is nice not having to worry
about heavy bag fees, too many bag fees etc.
I take a big duffel bag and a cooler, my wife takes 2 bags. Coming
home we might have 1 or 2 more "something"
I don't need a cooler. I bring a full size residential style
refrigerator with me when I travel and we have an 8 ft long full sized
closet. To each his own. ;-)
