Default Let's take a cruise, but only if we are constipated...

It's not the destination, it's the journey, is the way I look at it.

Using your example, I might stop at Sarasota, Tampa/Clearwater, look up
Frogwatch, Destin, Pensacola, gulf beaches, on my way to the Alabama
state line. Or if you were heading to Georgia you might want to visit
some theme parks and St Augustine along the way.

But to each his own. Right?

-----------------------------------------------

One of my most memorable trips was an impulsive drive from MA to Denver
Colorado to pickup a vintage '55 Ford F-100 that a guy had for sale.
I drove the F-350 diesel I had at the time towing a car trailer.
Travelled alone, lots of things to see and time to reflect on stuff in
general.
Great trip. I think I turned the steering wheel very slightly two or
three times while in Nebraska.

One late night at the KC Star, we got a minor bulletin over The AP wire
stating the U.S. Army had lost an entire column of troops and gear
somewhere between southern Nebraska and northern Kansas. They were
"found" a few hours later.
