another unit that is corded. I like the idea of cordless...but the

I bought a new Makita LiON drill a while ago at Costco for $70 with
the fast charger and 2 batteries. (the black and white one) I have
been using the hell out of it and it seems like a good one.
Lots of power and very good battery life. When the LiON goes dead it
is sudden tho. Running something like drywall screws, you feel it slow
down on one and the next won't go at all.
That may be some kind of protection built in the battery pack. The
charger will get it up again in 20 minutes.

I had a Ryobi 1 set, so I bought two LiON batteries plus charger for it.
Much longer lasting that the NiCad batteries, although you can revive
the NiCad's a time or two.
