It would be a shame to have to paint 3" state numbers in the side but

it is the law.


Up here you could avoid registering your vessel by keeping the motor under 10 hp.
Wonder how a 9.9 would push that around?
I suppose with the proper gearing and big propeller, you could get
around at a modest hull speed.


If you have the 10HP exemption a 9,9 would be overkill on that boat
My bet is he has a big trolling motor in it but you need numbers here
for a trolling motor on a canoe. (any motorized vessel)


What cop is going to look like an idiot to the public by issuing a ticket.
Maybe since it is non passenger vehicle it is exempt.
