It's just a fictional movie. Dr. Zhivago was a terrific book and movie,
though the movie differed from the book, and neither really depicted
the
level of horror of the first few years of communist rule in Russia.
Speaking of Dr. Zhivago ...
The movie came out when I was living in Connecticut. I was "exploring"
at the time, dating different girls every week or so. All they wanted
to do was see "Dr. Zhivago". I must have seen it 5 times in 3 months.
I saw it on a date too and I found the movie as oppressively long and
boring as the book.
Some of you boys have no imagination. It was and remains a great movie.
At that age my imagination was focused on things other than a long,
boring love story.
