I'm sure she wasn't "bow riding." She was, er, checking the forestay.

I case that I followed a few years ago went something like this: A guy was in his new
boat and left the marina restaurant at night. Wife was sleeping down below. Man drives
into breakwater at speed; the wife is badly injured hitting her head on a bulkhead.. They
sue the dealer for selling a boat and not warning him that its dangerous. They sue the
manufacturer for not having seatbelts on the bunks. The wife's case was thrown out; I
don't know about the other.

me too, see it all the time though. heck, I've read two reports of people
bouncing out of the steering seat of a powerboat. What's next , seatbelts?

Roughly 5% of fatalities are caused from standing & sitting on the bow,

transom and rail.
I expect very few, if any, are on sailboats, but its what they are trained

to look for. I
shudder when I see kids hanging off the bow of a fast powerboat.

Some dickwad sheriff motorboater tried (actually did) give
a friend of mine a ticket for allowing someone to ride on the
bow. They were coming into dock, the sheriff told him
to get off the bow, and mine friend told the guy at the bow
to stay there and finish what he was doing. The judge threw
it out.

Did you know seat belts (2) are required on the bed in a truck sleeper?

How many people here believe I've done the sailing I've claimed?

Two hours, Bob. No takers yet!

Whadya mean? Jeff's response was practically a love letter to me!

Clutching at straws, eh?

It's now 7 hours.

I don't see anybody expressing any support for you. Do you?

If nobody else will say that they believe your constant stream of lies, then
I will step forward and express my support for you- tomorrow. Nobody
deserves the total humiliation that you are undergoing at the moment. I was
hoping that one of the 5000 or so lurkers would step forward and say that
you seemed credible.

Anyway, if nobody else steps forward by tomorrow night, then I will publicly
state that I believe you. I'd really hate to think that you had no friends
here in A.s.a!

Regards

Odd! The person who posts the most pictures has the least credibility!

Why
is that?

I have plenty of credibility.

OK! Hands up anybody who thinks that Bobsprit has credibility?

Not..... even when he posts pix, nobody actually believes them.

No, its that the few things that he isn't lying about, are the things no one cares about.

He keeps bragging about sailing 3 or 4 times a week; half of us here were (are) sailing
instructors and have sailed every day for years on end. His trip out the Narrows may be
the highlight of his season, but many of us don't consider it a trip if its under 100
miles.

And his knowledge of boats always reminds me of the line from Blues Brothers: "they have
BOTH types of music there ... country and western!"

So whether or not he's telling the truth on these matters is quite irrelevant.
