There's no need to be sorry. Neal makes these claims from
time to time. I've always suggested he get in touch with the local CG unit, since they need a good laugh, but he never does. "Pony Express" wrote in message ... Sorry. I've checked with both USsailing and the USCG. A license is not needed for what we do. We do not take paying customers in our boats (except for a rescue). They are 10' single handed sailing dinghies. We do not even tow the boats except in a rescue situation. Now Ganz on the other hand might need a license for what he does. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Simple Simon" wrote in message ... You'd better get a license! You're breaking the law. "Pony Express" wrote in message ... Think you'd better read up. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Simple Simon" wrote in message ... Not so or there would be no need for a sailing endorsement on a Master's license. "Pony Express" wrote in message ... Only on an auxiliary powered vessel. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Simple Simon" wrote in message ... Type of boat doesn't matter unless you are NOT on it. If you give lessons in exchange for pay and if you are aboard and the student is aboard you need a license. "Pony Express" wrote in message ... If you had a captain's license, you would know the answer to that question. Think about the type of boats we're using. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "Simple Simon" wrote in message ... How is it that you can train kids for money and not have a USCG Captain's license? "Pony Express" wrote in message ... Finished the last week of our summer sailing camp. Gone are the whining little kids. Gone are the 8 hour days of dinghy sailing. Gone are the bikini clad assistants. All in all it wasn't bad, though this session was the worst. 80% of this sessions kids couldn't (or wouldn't) sail when they arrived. Turned them all into competent sailors. The mom of the biggest whiner gave me two cases of Dos Equis for getting her son to get over his fear of the water and sailing. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express |

If it rains, we sail. If there's thunder and lightening, we're off the
water. This past week we had three days with no wind in the morning. We held kinetics relay races. Kept the kids in the boat and they actually learned a little about propelling the boats. -- ---- Steve S/V Pony Express "katysails" wrote in message ...
