Default A gift for Bobsprit and Shen44

Booby and Mr. Shen,

Here is a free gift for you - a link to where you can download
the Nautical Chart Users Guide. It's an executable file that
unzips a pdf version of this book you both need so badly to study.

Click here to go to NOAA download site

I hope this helps.

NOAA is still showing landfall around the middle of North Carolina.

In the infrared satellite loop images Animated Loop I can't help but
notice the storm still seems to be tracking north of northwest, in fact in
the last twelve hours it has gone almost straight north. She's closer
to 70 degrees West than 75 where they show her position. A little
more of this push from the high and it will sure throw a wrench in the
official NOAA track.

That high pressure behind the front seen along the East Coast by
the long line of clouds may help Isabel take a more northerly course
as I've maintained from the start. The high is definitely digging down
deeper south than they thought it would also just as I've maintained.
Looks like quite a vigorous high - just the type of system to push
Isabel more east than they thought.

I just don't share their optimism that weather systems are drawing
the storm to the northwest. We shall see in a day or too.

S.Simon - still on better track than Isabel is on the predicted track
