Default Heavy Air

I was strapped on the rail for half the
race, and we finished in third place.

MLW = Mean Low Water. Have you never seen a chart?

That's what I assumed that it meant. However, I regularily deal with 12m
(39 ft) tides - so 8' above MLW would the the average height less than 2
hours after low water.

If you said 2' higher than MHW, then I could see the problem.

Good news - sounds like it eased up very quickly after making landfall.

Whew! Donal makes another rocket scientist quality weather review!

Feeling a bit grumpy today, Bob? What's the matter, fatso? Did Suzanne
get vertigo after deciding that she would like to try it "on top".

Oh. I'm a bit 'edgy' today. Still have no word on how my boat faired. I
believe the tidal range for the Chess. Bay is only 2' (?). So 8' above even
MLW is a big deal here.

I don't see your degree.

Really? How about me? I have a better boat than you, I belong to a
better yacht club, I win more races than you. I have no wife, but my
fiance is better looking than your wife. I have more cash than you,
and a better job, and I'm going to live longer than you. I also have
a new house, and a better Harley than you.
