Thanks old fellow. I stopped and got a little lunch and made a quick web

YOU'RE the dumbass around here.

Do you actually think you are fooling anybody? Racing
that ugly Hunter is like racing a Ford Ranger except the
Ranger at least looks like a pick-up truck while your
boat looks like an old Nash Rambler. Bwaaahahahahahha!

You're a dip****.

S.Simon - has a better boat. Better looking and faster to boot.

Hey Horvath,

I received them and they are on the boat. I even managed to get
the old main removed and the new one bent on except for installing
the battens because a big thunderstorm came up then it got dark.

The mainsail fits perfectly and the jib will also be perfect because
it was built to my measurement specs.

You sound jealous. Wait till you see the new pics on a web page
I'll put up on my site and you will turn green with envy.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I race my boat. I put on new sails every year,
dumbass.

No, but maybe you could help me out. Why not fly down to
the Keys and meet with me. I'll take you sailing and you can
operate the sailboat while I follow along in the Boston Whaler
and take some pictures of "Cut the Mustard" under sail with a
sexy lady at the helm.

I'd even be willing to buy you drinks and food.

Well, I sent them an email... we'll see what happens.

Mr. Li, President of Hong Kong sailmakers will work with you
via e-mail. As long as you specify exactly what you want meaning
exact sizes of sails (luff, foot, leech) and exact sizes of any and
all hardware and pictures of sail insignia and maybe pictures
of existing sail clew, tack, head, slugs etc. you should get a sail
that works the first time. You need to go to the site and fill out
quotation form to get things started. If you are importing for the first

time
chances are there won't even be any duty for a private individual.

I did not have to pay duty but my shipment was held up in Customs
for several days till Fed Ex contacted me and had me fill out a
importer ID form which was name, address, Social Security number,
signature etc. I sent a .pdf of this form to Mr. Li in case he was
interested in having a customer fill it out beforehand and fax or
e-mail it to him so he could include it with the paperwork to speed
things up but I'm not reallysure if Customs wants to do things that way .

.. .

I did a lot of price shopping and for the quality and features the price
of Hong Kong Sailmakers simply cannot be beat. I'm very pleased
with the product.

That's good, but I'm just wondering what recourse you
would have had. We're thinking about upgrading the
sails on several of our boats. If I can find a less expensive
way to do it....

What do you do if they made some mistake?

Can you return them and who pays for shipping?

"Simple Simon" wrote in message

Honk Kong Sails made mine. They have a website:
http://www.netfun.com/cgi-bin/hksail/
Check them out. They are the best priced sails
by far with standard features like double row of
reef points, sail insignia and numbers tell tales,
etc. that others charge extra for. I got a main
and working jib for a little over a grand including
shipping.

From looking at the sails that just arrived yesterday
I'd say the quality and workmanship is excellent.
I managed to get the old mainsail off and the new
one bent on but a big thunderstorm came up and
I had to put the cover on the sail even before getting
the battens in yesterday evening. Maybe if the
weather holds I'll get some sailing in today and
take some pics to post on a webpage at my
site.

Good luck.

S.Simon

I'm
currently looking around for new sails for my 28. Thanks for any

Dear Group,

I managed to nurse my new sails through customs and have word
from FED EX tracking that the sails are on the delivery truck

which
left from Marathon (forty miles south of here) at a little

after
nine
this morning. I should have the sails in my grubby little

hands
later
on this afternoon.

Boy are you gonna be jealous when you get a load of how well

the
new sails set and how shiny new they look. No more critics

allowed
like the last time I showed pics of worn-out sails. There will

be
nothing
to criticize.

Look for a link to a new webpage showing actual sailing

pictures
with
new working sails in a week or two.
