Fishfinder???
I'm thinking of adding a Ray 365 Fishfinder to Alien. I can get one new with a bronze thu-hull for 169.00. It does speed, temp and depth, but the bronze thru hull protrudes from the hull with the fairing block and that sort of bugs me. It's a great deal though... Comments?? RB |

You'll rip it off with when you hit that rock again, moron. But, hey,it's

RB Way cheap man, you should buy something biult for a sailboat, costs three times as much and only does on third of things the fishfinder does. Cheers Marty |

But you already troll so well without it... why spend
the money? In article , Bobsprit wrote: I'm thinking of adding a Ray 365 Fishfinder to Alien. I can get one new with a bronze thu-hull for 169.00. Fishfinder???
I have a Humminbird fishfinder on my boat. I mounted the transducer
inside in a bed of clear silicone against the bottom of the hull. No thru hull at all, and it works great. No temp or speed readout, but for under $100 it shows the fish, and the bottom contours just fine. And that's a transom mount transducer you used? RB |

Fishfinder???
I don't know if this setup would work for
you. My hull is not cored, but I believe yours is. I think my hull is only cored above the Water line. Maybe I'll give it a try. RB |

Are you planning to catch fish? The block will have negligible effect on
speed. I have a Ray L760RC -it's very good. Cheers Bobsprit wrote: I'm thinking of adding a Ray 365 Fishfinder to Alien. I can get one new with a bronze thu-hull for 169.00. I don't think the data goes out on seatalk. If you ever get a modern radar it
handy to repeat speed data on the screen. Don't you already have a proper log? Just get a 265 and glue it on the inside of the hull. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ...
