I've SEEN mice jump out of a wastebasket.

They had purchase from the garbage. Water has no purchase.

Nope. Wrong answer. A friend had some mice trapped in a standard
office metal wastebasket. The mice were able to jump high enough to
grab the top lip with their forepaws.

BTW, Joe, I've got bigger 'rats' than those on Rottnest Island living

That's why we still carry guns in the country.

Over here, too... although they're usually not on my front lawn.
Actually a lot of time you see them riding around in SUVs.

You'll jump far enough to get out of a bucket, or far enough to fix
your word wrap, dimbass.

Let's see...someone do the math...what size would that bucket have to be =
to be to contain a human proportional to a standard 5 gallon containing =
a mouse? You'd have to be an Olympic pole vaulter to get out...and you'd =
have to have a pole.... =20
