C-Port Marine Services has the following openings at NAS Pensacola starting
October 1. Port Captain - The Port Captain shall have extensive experience operating under a variety of operating conditions requiring precise navigation, station keeping, close quarter maneuvering, docking and undocking, operations transferring personnel between vessels, precision anchoring, towing, and overall responsibility for all vessel systems and machinery. He/she shall be well versed in International and Inland Rules of the Road and radio communications. *Licensed USCG Master of Inspected Motor Vessels of not less than 200 gross tons in near coastal waters, with at least five years of experience operating under this or a higher license. Port Operations Manager - Minimum of five years experience related to Port Operations Management duties. Ability to develop administrative procedures, maintain excellent liaison with other site departments, develop computer based reports and databases and supervise personnel. Assistant Port Captain- Will have experience operating under conditions requiring precise navigation, station keeping, close quarter maneuvering, precision anchoring, towing, and overall responsibility for all vessel machinery. *Licensed USCG Master of Inspected Motor Vessels of not less 500 gross tons in near coastal waters, with three years of experience operating under this or a higher license as well as a Marine Radio Operator Permit license. Maintenance Department Manager - The Maintenance Department Manager shall have at least five years experience in the management of maritime and shore-side maintenance programs, including outboard and inboard propulsion and auxiliary engine maintenance, vessel electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems maintenance, motor vehicle and support equipment maintenance and development and management of Quality Management Programs. He/she must have experience managing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs, developing maintenance data trending reports, management of personnel, repair of shipboard electrical systems (450V, 24VDC, 115 VAC, and 400 Hz power distribution systems), standard Navy interior communications (IC) including EOT, sound powered telephone, E-call system, 21MC &1/6MC systems, wrong direction alarm, propulsion and electrical generator alarms. *USCG Licensed Designated Duty Engineer for motor vessels of not less than 4000 hp motor propulsion. Maintenance Department Assistant Manager The Maintenance Department Assistant Manager shall have at least five years experience as an engineer aboard similar sized vessels conducting routine operation, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs of outboard and inboard propulsion and auxiliary engine maintenance, vessel electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems maintenance, motor vehicle and support equipment maintenance, fire suppression systems, and implementation of Quality Management Programs. He/she must have experience developing maintenance data trending reports, managing personnel, repairing of shipboard electrical systems (450V, 24VDC, 115 VAC, and 400 Hz power distribution systems), standard Navy interior communications (IC) including EOT, sound powered telephone, E-call system, 21MC &1/6MC systems, wrong direction alarm, propulsion and electrical generator alarms. * USCG Licensed Designated Duty Engineer for motor vessels of not less than 1000 hp, with three years experience in supervision over engineering, deck, firefighting and emergency equipment and three years experience involvement with routine operation preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs of shipboard systems. *USCG Licensed Designated Duty Engineer for motor vessels of not less than 4000 hp motor propulsion. Navvie is of course supremely qualified, but as for the rest IFAIK Joe and 'otnmbrd' are the only regulars with USCG licenses. Upon discharge from Uncle Sam's canoe club, I was handed a steam engineers license but have never used it (no steam cars any more). Pensacola is a pretty good place for sailing. DSK |
