Yes, it's true. America had suffered greatly under Jimmy Carter, a
good-hearted but weak leader who let the rest of the world beat his country into submission and disgrace. Much of our problems today linger from the middle east's discovery that America can be beaten like a scared dog under that term. Ronald Reagan rescued our country from that administration which had the audacity to announce on national television that Americans had life too good and the time had come for them to accept less. He restored most of the world's respect for the country they expected to contribute the most financially and in the lives of her citizens to save them from those whose objectives included their total domination. He told Americans we deserve more because we contribute more. He restored America. As with any person's passing, great or small, there are those who have no respect. They tend to freeload rather than contribute. They the ones who care not for the whole, but only for themselves. Even among us, there are those who are best ignored. Rest well Mr. Reagan. The producers and accomplishers of the country you leave behind appreciate your work. |

The Bin Ladens backed your current President's election campaign..... he
was so involved with the Saudi's and specifically the Bin Ladens that it's embarrassing you folks aren't more aware of it. Are all of your Presidents tarnished with horrendous scandal and backroom dealings? It seems like it. CM "JN" wrote in message .. . | Yes, it's true. The name "Bin Laden" tells you as much about a Saudi as the name "Smith" tells you about an American. Osama Bin Laden is the black sheep of the family. The name "Bin Laden" means nothing. There are only two political strains in Saudi Arabia: House of Saud, or fanatical Wahhabism. Which would you choose, genius? A bunch of rich princes who spend their dollars on luxuries, or a bunch of terrorist Wahhabis who spend their dollars killing infidels? Is that a hard choice for you? |

Hmmmm, you obviously aren't well read.
Try a little reading on the Saudi royals and their financial support of Osama and his cronies. Yes, and Chicago bar owners must have loved Al Capone because they gave him a bag of cash every week. What's your point? Paying protection money isn't working quite as well lately. Never does. There are thousands of "royals" and some are fanatical, but most are just scared of being assassinated by terrorist nuts that won’t be bought off. -=- This message was posted via two or more anonymous remailing services. |

.. . Yes, it's true. America had suffered greatly under Jimmy Carter, ... Sorry to bust your bubble but RR got Jimmy elected. We had an excellent president, arguably the most honest man in Washington, in Gerry Ford. But, had he won, it'd have been 8 years before another Republican could run vs 4 if Carter won. Mindful of his own deteriorating mental condition, RR failed to rally the radical Christian right wing of the party, which he controlled, to Ford and instead turned them toward Carter - a minister. Give the man his due, but let's not start rewriting history before he's buried. |

Yup. Terrible. He cared too much and told the truth too many times.
He was also an extreme micromanger, apparently. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Dave" wrote in message news ![]() On Mon, 7 Jun 2004 10:02:11 -0700, "Jonathan Ganz" said: Carter is a great ex-president.
