Wind died pretty early today. Motored in and came home just in time to
meet my Daughter.

She was dropping off her Dog for me to "Dog Sit" while she went
Ballooning.

The Calm was perfect for the Balloon

Oh well To each their own. They'll have about 5 hours of daylight before
they have to land and pack up the Balloon

Ballooning used to be popular here but there were so many lawsuits that many
just gave it up and went to less civilized areas....girl across the street
broke her leg when a balloon descended over their pasture and fired up it's
burners...horse took one look at that thing coming to get it and went
nuts...a pig farmer a mile away lost a herd of pigs all over the road...some
of them got smacked in the traffic...and the dairy farmers all got together
because they were tired of losing milkings from frightened cows...we had
them land a couple of times in our pasture....fortunately, my beasts were
a;; in the barn at the time....

That is the reason I was "Dog Sitting."
My Katy's dog is scared to death of the Balloon and the noise of the
burner.

Balloning is sailing without rudders.

Sounds like fun, BTW did that young Texan get over his sunburn?

Wind has been super calm in the days here. The Heat index is in the
110 degree
levels lately. Best time to go sailing is 19:00 to 24:00 Have a nice
seabreeze and some very awesome sunsets and a full moon so bright you
need sunglasses.

As for the daytime, sieata's from noon to 14:00 in the AC cabins is
the ticket.
Painting steel this time of year ensures a baked on finish. Id rather
be hot than cold anyday!
