I worked with a guy in the late 70s who had been a Military
Intelligence Officer in the Army over there. He had been trained to
speak Vietnamese. He didn't like to talk about it, but once he did
mention one of the interrogation techniques was to take suspects up in
a helicopter and question them. If they were less than forthcoming,
out the door they went. Apparently the others on board, seeing this,
were more cooperative.

This guy really seemed haunted by his experiences and he went to the
seminary upon returning. Pretty funny, huh.
