Thanks Thom. We don't have to accept the lesser of two evils.

Donal,
It's terrible that personal freedom, a natural right that government can't grant, is so easily taken away. We must fight tyranny wherever it is. I must respectfully turn down the prime minister offer, but if you guys need a King, I'm your man. I think Benny Hill would be a fine Prime Minister. Gilligan "Donal" wrote in message ... "Gilligan" wrote in message link.net... I'm for any candidate who promises: " I have no interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed in their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is needed before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents interests, I shall reply that I was informed their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can." Vote Libertarian! Leave the big party-franchise politics to those who are too cowardly to live or think for themselves. Gilligan, have you considered moving to the UK? You could be our Prime Minister! ... Unlike the US, some of us still believe in personal freedom. However, we don't have any politicians who will represent our views. Pack your bags immediately. I shall arrange tickets and some temporary accommodation. Come quick! We need you! Regards Donal -- |

But Jonathan, the Republicans claim if I vote Libertarian then Kerry will
win. So I look at it this way, according to either side, if I vote Libertarian their candidate will lose. Is that bad? How's your Cal 20 doing? I bet you have it fixed up real nice. Great job on rising to the challenge.
Is your name really Vito? Gilligan "Vito" wrote in message ... "Gilligan" wrote You can bet that no matter who wins the end result will be less freedom and bigger government. In fact not one of you can name a single President that has ever reduced the scope of government or extended freedom...... Tom Jefferson - He disestablished the national bank. |

Now I'm really confused. Those songs looked like they could be amusing. I'm
still recovering from the falsetto on: "I Saw Mr Presley Tiptoeing Through the Tulips" Katy just emailed me a black and white photo of herself wearing a bee hive hairdo. That does it for me, I'm staying around. I bet the Navigator doesn't have one of those! Gilligan "Flying Tadpole" wrote in message ... Yes, but did you _listen_ to Only Ed's song from which I was quoting, as were you, albeit inadvertently? Does this immediate confusion of yours bode well for the future? Or are you simply attempting an eggsuckulent start? Flying Tadpole Authority on Everything (To WHom there is NO appeal) Gilligan wrote: Tadpole: Anyone with an iota of reason knows that the question, "What would Jesus do" is a fallacy of logic known as an appeal to authority. It is used to avoid personal responsibility and abdicate volition. It's odd that those who use Jesus are the biggest advocates of conformism and big government. It was Jesus who defied the government of his day, it was Jesus who disrupted the marketplace. Jesus was a radical. If the depictions are true, he also had long hair, slept in city parks. If he was around today he'd be the guy cleaning your windshield at the traffic light. Amen! Gilligan "Flying Tadpole" wrote in message ... Gilligan wrote: The political "debate" here is so funny!
