I feel your pain. The Nikon 8800 retails for less than $900. Donate it to
charity the write off my be bigger, or claim it as an insurance loss and
pocket the cash.

I just spent 1300.00 on the new Nikon 8800 and now I find out that my

friends
chipped in on a Canon 20D for my 42nd birthday. What will I do with the
Nikon???? The Canon costs nearly 2K and is certainly a step up.
Damn, sometimes good luck and great friends can be frustrating!

Focus Camera = 10 days

Just indicates you don't know how or where to shop.

Sorry, but I have had Hasselblads and Leica for years. Sold the Hass. I
also
still have a custom teak Deardorff which will be sold soon. I wonder if you
even know what that is. I was a still photographer for Finley for 3 years,
large and medium format, mostly B&W catalogue work, but occasionally models and
food.

LOL................ Here we go again. What did I tell ya.
Boob, tell us again about your home theater and your radar.
Oh, and another job the Boob failed at. I guess he switched to videographer
since with that format he could erase and start over.

Actually, with the really high cost of the Canon with it's two lenses, I'm
thinking of keeping the 8800 for a "boat" camera. I now need to replace my
little Sony U30 with something equally compact, but with higher res.

What a putz! All this claimed high end stuff, plus an inherited
fortune (his words) and he still doesn't own a nice modern sailboat.

Bwahahahaha! LOL!!! B&H is where most pro's shop, including most of the major
Manhattan studios. You have no clue. Who do you think Magno and Astoria Studios
deals with???

Failed at? I made a lot of money doing still work and learned macro lighting
with it in the process along with custom lab work.
Loco, you have NO clue!
