The fact that newsgroups are looking more and more like chat rooms
as the years roll by tells me most of the intelligent folks who used
to frequent them have found another outlet for their creativity.

The fact that major anchorages are looking more and more like parking
lots for derelict vessels tells me most of the cruising sailors who used
to frequent them have found smaller, out-of-the way anchorages to
enjoy.
