Were you out on Saturday? Man was it blowing! Where were you
Monday? I sailed from Rock Hall to Middle River.

Where were you
Monday? I sailed from Rock Hall to Middle River.

Out of the mouth of the Patapisco into the bay then up towards Hart
Miller. There were a lot of sailboats out for a Monday. I was doing 6
1/2 all afternoon with a #4.

I was thinking the same thing. You should shoot me an e-mail when your
planning on sailing in that area. As far as the knot log goes I have
to clean my impeller at least every 2 weeks to keep the fuzz off. Let
it go much longer than that and it stops. During racing season I only
have the impeller in the hull on Wednesdays.

Nah, last year I had some growth problems on the impeller, but
this year it's been clean.

Turned on the gauges , as usual they read 00.0, then after
clearing the dock I looked and it was reading 66.6 (Halloween?),
then 88.8, and sometimes 44.4. Also the depth switched back and
forth from 2.7 to 2.8 all day.

Any ideas?

Have you been under the boat this summer? I can't imagine that your
impeller would not get all fuzzed up during an entire summer. You
could also have a pile of crap over your depth transducer.

Yes, I cleaned it a few times. Too damn cold to go in the water
now.

I'd check all plugs and connections and if in doubt spray them with
tuner cleaner. I read one time that marine electronics are the number
one complaint item of boaters. Most of the stuff is just expensive
crap. To make matters worse the manufactures charge an arm and a leg
for parts and service.
