Default Did Nutsy Pick the wrong boat?

Please tell us how that large engine cover in the cockpit sole
is secured to it doesn't come adrift in a storm or leak and flood
the bilge?

| Have a seat on THAT toilet, Thom! Even if you're 7 feet tall, you have
| leg room. To starboard of the toilet is a very large sink and vanity
| and further back a nice wet locker that drains to the shower sump.
| After all the head is actually using space from an optional aft cabin.
| I've never seen a head so big even on a 40 footer. To port is another
| door leading to an aft birth. No big deal. She's only 35.5 feet LOA.
| But the aft birth is over 7 feet long! Kinda nice when you're 6'3.
| Do you know how few boats have births sized as nicely? Very few.
| As for her sailing performance...well, read the owner reviews. Are you
| aware that this was voted Boat of the Year at the French Boat show when
| introduced?
| When why wife went below and saw the space of the 35s5 all she could
| say was "how'd they do this?". The mating of boat plush livable space
| and good sailing performance is a great thing....when you've found it.

Interior size, berths and toilets. Quite a set of atributes to talk
about when your buying a new SAILboat. By the way I'd be willing to
bet the head on an Express 35 is every bit as big as this boat AND the
20 year old Express is built better and it's oh so much faster.

Your aft cabin has no overhead clearance - you'll be lucky if you can even
roll over on that bunk. There isn't room to stand, a tiny hanging locker,
and you're being really generous with the dimension, since the drawing
would indicate that most of the berth is well under 7 feet. Calling it a
cabin is also generous, its a quarter berth with a door.

Your head seems large enough, but there's no separate shower. This is OK
for a daysailor, but not for a cruiser.

This is a cruiser:

Yeah, standing head room throughout, a real aft cabin, a real separate
shower. There was one on the east coast earlier this year with a furling
mainsail-in mast-for 99k, the owner had reduced the price at least once,
might have been able to get it for less. Just a couple of things. You
couldn't buy it for 50k. You'd look silly day sailing it.

I like the Express 35, it's easy on the eyes unlike your boat and has a
good interior. Few are around and many were beat on pretty bad. It's
not likely I would have found one. That said it's still a pretty rough
boat compared to the 35s5.

He's just a self centered, insecure little troll who just has to have
the best of everything, or at least the beas by *HIS* definition.

Ignore him and he'll go away just like all the meows.

Look you whining ****ant..... from what I've seen, Bob produces more
sailing related discussion than anyone here. Bart tries with occasional
success to induce sailing related threads... but it takes the offensive
abilities of Bobsprit to really get everyone nipping and striking that
thread bare lure.

I bite on some of Bob's casts..... but it's not done out of malicious
intent... it provides me with a platform to craft a witty reply. I
appreciate Bob's posts. Sure he's a marginal sailor... I agree he needs the
best vessel available to even step up to the plate.... no question he knows
less about boats than my 8 yr old niece.... Yes he changes his mind more
often than a fat lady in a candy store... but let's face it you bunch of
whiners... if it wasn't for Bob... all you have to be better than is JAX!!
Yeah... I thought so!

He's giving you the opportunity to look down on someone for once in your
lives! Take advantage of his generosity!

I think we should have a Bobsrit appreciation day on this group!

You Go Bob... You Da Man!

Sometimes, only occasionaly someone really "gets me." Thanks, Mooron
(sniffle). You da man too!

PS: Your niece was dead wrong about IOR boats needing 15% lift at the
bow downwind.

That's the most blatant troll that I've ever seen. I'm sure that Bob is to
too smart to miss it!!

The Mac 26 has a 7' berth (not birth) . So does my boat.
