What does Dr Laura sail?
http://www.latitude38.com/LectronicL...21/July21.html Dr. Laura Goes High Tech July 21 - Los Angeles Thanks to reading Forespar's newsletter, we've learned that 'Dr. Laura' Schlessinger, famous advice giver on radio, has ordered a carbon fiber mast for her J/105. Some people might not think of Dr. Laura as the sailing type, but she's one tough cookie. We were surfing the radio one day and heard a young woman say, "Dr. Laura, my husband's sort of a slob and I'm just not interested in having sex with him anymore. What should I do?" What she shouldn't have done was call Dr. Laura, who unloaded with both barrels: "Look honey, you agreed to marry him, and with that comes responsibilities. One of them is sex. You may not want to do the dishes all the time, but it's just something you've got to do. It's the same with sex. You may not want to have sex with your husband, but you married him, so you have to service him." Ouch! Amen! |

she's one tough cookie. Word is she doesn't drive. Secondly she belongs in that class. The boats are easy to sail, slow for their length in this day and age and the class is made up of a bunch of hacks who think it's cool to play bumper boats. |

I dunno, seems like since we put all the new keels on 'em we're getting fewer in for T-bone repairs. The Etchells seem to be filling that slot recently! Seahag |

Hacks is being too kind to them. I'll give J-Boats
credit for finding and establishing a market of racing boats for people who have trouble finding crew. I've only known one couple who had one. They had a great racing record because they hired an asshole rock star to treat them like **** ordering them around. The husband could not steer without an apparent wind gauge. The wife could have been a good tactician except they were more concerned with winning than having fun. IDIOTS! Dr. Laura Goes High Tech I would've figured she'd go for something more rigid. Scout |

Does Bob still own "Stingray" I worked there part time for 2 1/2 years...I still do a bit now and again, but Mr.H wants to retire in a couple of years so I'm working full time on our boat now. Bob still has Stingray and Pamlico as well as a couple of small boats. He donated Valkyrie to Hospice recently. It was a great workout! We did 35 (thereabouts) of the J105 keels! Seahag |

Stingray is a Merit 28 in disguise. I always had the hots to own one.
The first owner of Stingray had the deck replaced with a Santana 30/30 deck that he bought new from the factory. I heard he did the swap just because he didn't like the looks of the Merit deck. A real case of someone with too many dollars and no sense. |
