Thats what I'm thinking, the screws or bolts to the backstay plate for
sure. You can see the same rust on most 35s5's...Must be cheap french steel. Joe |

High quality French steel from melted down rifles.
Dropped once but never fired. Amen! "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... Thats what I'm thinking, the screws or bolts to the backstay plate for sure. You can see the same rust on most 35s5's...Must be cheap french steel. Joe |

I really don't know! It's about 2.5" in diameter and it is covered
with a ubber seal. I put a bit of grease into it every couple of years, and it doesn't leak. A few years ago it dripped for a while. Dripless seal as on my boat. Both surveyors called it very reliable and told me not to mess with it. My bilges are dry and clean...I mean snow-white clean! RB 35s5 NY |

I can imagine that Joe's bilge is a pool of rust coloured liquid. Regards Donal -- |

You would be wrong, not long ago I had to replace my water tanks. That
allowed me access and time to put a new haze gray epoxy coat of paint. Dry as a bone and so clean you could eat off em! Joe |
