Default Looking for local knowledge of Norwalk Islands

Have made that passage a number of times. Your plot is correct. I
don't know the reason for the numbering anomaly.

With the boat up on the hard, I'm sitting here plotting the spring return
trip from Norwalk to points east. Looks like I can take about 5 miles off my
trip by leaving Norwalk via Cokenoe Harbor rather than taking the channel
marked on the charts and going all the way around Sheffield I. But one thing
puzzles me. It looks like I can cut out of the marked channel just before
#12 nun, and head for C "11", take it and C "9" to starboard and head for
Peck Ledge marker, taking it to starboard. But then I see the numbering on
the buoys seems to jump. It goes from C"9" to Gong "5" and Nun "4" just
past Peck Ledge. What happened to C "7" and Nun "6"? What am I missing?
