....in asa, back when Bobbie first started to post here, he made
allusions to the fact that his AOL account was protected and that he
had various other email addresses and other means to dodge issues
like TOS violations, etc. Now, I;m not going to sit and waste my
day by googling up those remarks, since they are ancient history
here, but they were made and I'm sure there are others who remember
those comments. And yet he claims he always posts as himself and
does not have sock puppets....hmmmmm......or maybe he also had the
ability at that time to have those posts removed so that he can call
us all liars when we call him on his own words..that would be more
like his speed...

hi Katy,

My muffin Rob never uses a sockpuppet!
Now he will post as my fantasy man Commodore Joe Redcloud, and the Evil
BB, and even as the Commodore's wife when I'm in my lesbian mood.

But never a sockpuppet, it's just not his style.

Go right ahead, Katy. My other emails were , Masthed
and I had a Yahoo email that I don't recall. I also use another address
for the yard, ebay and boat sails. ALL lead to the same ISP.
Sorry, Katy...but good luck.

I remember something like that.. vaguely. Of course, these days, it's
usually pretty easy to figure out if someone is a sockpuppet. It's still
possible to hide, but it takes a great deal of effort, and most people don't
bother or don't have the expertise. Filtering is the best method of ignoring
sockpuppets.

There are only a few with a simple google search... none of them seem to
indicate you're trying to hide. But, of course, there could be others
outside a simple search parameter.

Even when I posted as Masthed or Candhelp I still signed off as RB. Why
would I need a sockpuppet? I lead this group by the nose easy enough.
Only losers like Joe and others need to post as "Suzy" and other phoney
ID's.

Hey Katy,

Do you remember when we had the "Voyage Of The Pau" and how ****ed off
Neal was that he had to just deal with Nutsy. It was when Neal took
Bobby under his wing and thaught him how to TROLL;----- Lie!! It was
then that Nutsy started treating this Discussion Group as a completely
"Make Believe" DON"T BELIEVE ANY THING Nutsy post in his trolls; he
doesn't!

He does however, give topic to reply to but his headers are just to
"prime the pump" so to speak. Also, let's remember that Nutsy, with his
NONSENSE made the group something that was just to much for the "MEOWS"
to handle.

That doesn't make his posting any less of a PITA but he does keep the
group active, in his own sick way. That is the character he have
elected to play.

I only saw a couple of those... I just killfile anything that is obviously a
sockpuppet. Takes the stress out and reduces the reading time, so I have
more time to contemplate the inanity of people who claim it's ok to call
people names for the fun of it.

Thom...also remember that folks here are so conditioned that any effort
to post serious sailing talk is difficult at best. Off group,
Thom...I've treated you with nothing but respect. I also don't extend
this "behavior" to other groups as Scotty, Steve and Doug have.
