A small white paper. Actually, they paid $1900 not $1500. I like them and
their company, and want more of their business.

You need to be more like attorneys--when the client is desirable, charge
more, not less.

Fortunately, I'm not nor will I ever be like that. I charge a fair price and
give clients a break whenever I can.

I treat all clients the same. They all pay the same rates.

But I charge 5% more than most in my industry. That way... if they ask
for a discount as a carrot to more biz, it's not a big deal to knock
off 5%.

Thats not bad advice and works most times Max. When the
desirable(desperate) clients come to you if they know you charge more
IMO it is because they asked the people that charge less to do it...
and they failed. Or they know you can do the job, and know what it is
going to cost them to fail or not fix the need in a hurry.

I do too. Except, I don't put up with jerks. All of the clients I work with
get a discount if I can manage it.

Check the 3M website for adhesives. They have some

amazing

some spray adhesives that held Katys' beehive together

The beehive tested was on a Mach1 Flying Monkey.

mach 1, heck...it held at Mach5

So you're a full member of either SAMS or NAMS?

No, I work under the boatyard's insurance and certification. I also
handled a boat tow last week, piloting a 24 foot tow-boat to bring is a
disabled Columbia 34. I've captained 4 sea trials over the last few
weeks as well. At this point there's no boat I can't handle, though I'm
still rough around the edges with bigger twin screw yachts.
If things continue onward and upward, I'll probably end up having to
get a captain's licence so I can do jobs outside of the yard. No big
deal...my ex-girlfriend passed hers just by reading the book and taking
one nav class at the Museum of Natural History.

I hope the Maritime Union doesn't get wind of this!
