I was hoping to get smarter. I'm still waiting for you to explain what

Oh, I missed that. Please post the bend rate for your FRENCH mast. And
I'll post mine. This is available from the builder. It's listed in my
manual on the page before the polars that gives full professional rig
specs. I'm sure such specs exist for your Express.
The mast that can be adjusted more is in fact more tunable.

Didn't you say the mast on your swim platform was deck stepped?

I guess that's a quick boat but once again you've picked a particular
manufactures cruising boat where that manufacture uses your beloved
steering system as a marketing plan to draw in a customer who thinks
it's better. Why doesn't Aerodyne use it on their other models.
