Thanks for the help, Jeff! That pic shows no less than 6 people all on
the PORT SIDE of the cockpit. Like I said, more room than most,
especially for a faster boat.
Thanks again!

Right, Bob. They look about as comfortable as 6 people in a phone
booth. In fact, they look like they're holding on for dear life!

6 people could not fit on one side of the C&C 32 cockpit or the
Catalina 36 for that matter. The reason the 35s5 can manage it (look at
the photo) is that the coamings double the seating area. Even my buddy
with a Tayana 48 DS commented how much more room the 35s5 had compared
to his old Pearson 39.
If you doubt that the coamings are effective I have PROOF as usual...

In that shot NO ONE is seated in the cockpit. 4 people are on the
coamings! They are just as comfortable as the cockpit area. So you can
throw another 4 or 5 in the cockpit, though all that weight aft is not
a good thing.

You have PROOF as usual... consisting of somebody else's
photographs

as usual

So, you think the purpose of coaming is to be comfortable
alternative seating?

Have you ever actually sailed at all, Bubbles?

Everybody else knows what the coamings are really for.

No one is comfortable either.

There is no place on the entire topside for anyone to lie down, relax and
read a book.

Aren't the coamings huge and mishapen so there is more room below?

Certainly, the topside is NOT child-friendly.

Your dinghy seats more and is more comfortable.

BTW is that a boatload of Cuban refugees?

Looks like they all want to get off.

Doug once claimed that 1st series boats had small cockpits

and Thom
continues to labor under that delusion. Here are the

facts....

looks cramped with only 3 people.

Sudsy looks like a bus driver.

The wheel takes up a lot of room! Yet again, no PFDs... sigh....

No thanks. As I said, we're not ready to retire yet and

prefer fun
sailing!

Fun sailing = 2 hour daysails, very close to shore.
