Sorry if I seem like a bitch. I'm not really but this news group is just so
much like hanging out in a garage.

I have a Tangerine by Renken. It has sails and NO motor. It has no battery and
it has no instruments. It has a compass and that's all it has.

I last sailed three days ago most of the day long. I packed a picnic lunch.
I sailed in and out of the harbor and the winds were light and fickle. I didn't
have to worry about finding and connecting wires. I didn't spend any time checking
the charge of my batteries. I didn't worry about any prop cavitation. I sailed.
I anchored. I went swimming and I scrubbed the bottom. It needs new paint,
the stuff is growing fast on it.

Why the compass? Do you sail out of the sight og land?

I do most of my sailing during the week because there are way so many people
rushing back and forth in their motor boats on the week-ends.

Me too.

To me they're
just a bother and ruin the experience. I like sailing because it takes me away
from the hustle and bustle. I like getting an all over tan but no gawkers.

Most women like gawkers..Are you shy? Guess the totalnude sailing
picture is out of the question.

Happy?

No your a puppet. Who else would wanna be Ellen besides Ellen??

Joe
'Tis not the moaning wind your hear--
It is a sound more dread and drear,
A voice that calls across the tide,
A voice that will not be denied.

Cheers,
Ellen

As you wish but I am Ellen. Check your phone book. MacArthur is a common name. Ellen is pretty common too.
I guess I could say you ain't Joe just as easy. What's your last name, Joe? Is it Schmoe? :-)

Cheers,
Ellen

Ellen,

I'd like to remind you that is a discussion group of Sailors talking to
Sailors. That is what it is meant to be. We do have a lot of people that
aren't sailors, probably more than we should and we have another group
of "Flunker" that would like to destroy the group, Ellen we tolerate
all, as if we were in a public bar. Sailors talking to sailor. We let
the outsider into our conservation; if they don't try to change us. If
they do we just ignore them or we have been know to make fun of them.

Ellen, I don't know how you expect us to act but we are what we are!
Take us or leaves us. Either way, it's no skin off our asses!

We aren't here for YOUR ENTERTAINMENT. If you can contribute do so if
you CAN'T then SHUT THE HELL UP!

Are you a Korean War Navy Veteran? By gum, I bet you are. I'd be proud to
shake your hand.

Lloyd, Ol Thom is the man of the BIG war. The Golden age, America's
best.

Good Lord Lloyd........Ol Thom walked the same deck as William
Frederick Bull Halsey, Jr., Admiral, United States Navy.

Stand at attention when you address Ol Thom....you slacker.

Well, it's usenet. No moderator and no barrier to anybody
wandering in off the street. Which is why we have the
resident homeless crazies yelling obscenities & talking to
themselves.

No! Would we ever be so rude?!?

Time for Scotty to repost the dockside bar analogy.
