Be sure to get the *Sport* version in order to insure you'll have no
functioning spinal column by age 50. I'm 44 this November, Maxi. I already drive the harsh STI. We have lots of smooth roads here and the driving in PA is always great. The Elise is really amazing...I may have to have one! RB 35s5 NY |

'96 Toyota MR2 just over three weeks ago. The grip and turn-in is amazing. Do it, Bob. You know it makes sense. :-) The MR2 was an unsung hero of handling. Great little car. RB 35s5 NY |

It's because the engine's at the proper end of the car. :-) After years of driving one litre shopping trolleys, I treated myself to a '96 Toyota MR2 just over three weeks ago. The basic suspension design was by an ex-Lotus guy, with final tuning by Toyota. They're rapidly becoming classics, now, especially since it's looking like Toyota aren't continuing the line after the Mk3 (unless they have something up their sleeves - another hard top, I hope). Some photos here... http://rides.webshots.com/album/554098106zORWVq It's done 55K miles. Just think - for the same money, I could have had a 55K miles Ford Mondeo. Phew! Glad *that* didn't happen! -- Capt Scumbalino |

Before you draw any conclusions, read about the sport version and then drive one. Some seem to believe the car has no functioning suspension. Of course it does, but it's really set up for the track, not roads. The Exige is the non-roadster version of the car and worth a look, too. Max |
