Another POS bites the dust! The surge is working! ******************************** American forces have indeed killed a high-ranking member of the terrorist group Al Qaeda in Iraq, but not the leader of the group, American military officials said today. The man killed in the raid was Muharib Abdul Latif al-Jubouri, described as a senior minister of information for Al Qaeda in Iraq who was involved in the kidnappings of Jill Carroll and Tom Fox as well as two Germans, according to Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, spokesman for the American military in Iraq. Mr. Jubouri was involved in the movement of foreign fighters and money into Iraq from Syria, said General Caldwell, who described Mr. Jubouri's death as "significant." The general also said Mr. Jubouri was involved in hiding and moving the kidnapped Christian Science Monitor reporter Jill Carroll; she was held for two months before being released. Detainees told American officials that Mr. Jubouri had personal custody of Mr. Fox, an American, and was the last one seen holding him before Mr. Fox was killed, General Caldwell said. Mr. Fox, one of four men from the Chicago-based peace group Christian Peacemaker Teams working in Iraq, was found shot to death in Baghdad on March 10, 2006. |

05.47... Joe stuttered: American forces have indeed killed a high-ranking member of the terrorist group Al Qaeda in Iraq, but not the leader of the group, American military officials said today. Classic disinformation. Only people like you haven't noticed that a "high-ranking" terrorist is killed every time Bush needs justification for the war. No way. They're making progress. They only have 2 billion more to go. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com |

We are indeed winning.
It is the Democrats that are telling our troops, "You have failed, you cannot get the job done". Our troops voluntarily go into danger and all Democrats can tell them is that they are a disappointment to Americans. I am not disappointed with our troops. They are doing an outstanding job and getting it done with limited resources and manpower. God Bless America. |

Wonder why they a so limited in resources...Do you think it might have something to do with the democratic congress trying to buy votes with 21 billion in pork they attached to the funding bill of our troops in harms way? is that they are a disappointment to Americans. Our troops are generally ignorant kids. Most have no free will and no idea of what's they're really there for. They are children, sacrificed so Bush and his friends can make more money than can ever be counted. Of course quite a few troops are now coming out to say they finally understand this and the effort to save American lives is now also supported by many republicans. Bush is NO REPUBLICAN...and he never was. RB 35s5 NY |

RB 35s5 NY Robbie, I'm quite sure while you were in your 20's you were very ignorant. However most young men & women do fine in the service and are fully aware of what to expect. Again this all plays into why you are 25 years behind the curve on everything. And have no understanding of the military, or military service. IMO due to your lack of service, it impairs your view...so your comments about military service and sacriafice are invalid, and not worthy of consideration. Joe |

I concur on that...many of the individuals that live in the apartemnt complex we're in are military...between 25-35 years old...I've spoken to many, male and female in the past 18 months and none of them struck me as naive, ignorant or inherently stupid. Most were quite conversant, very polite, and seemingly competent. |

I can't speak to the Army, but I well recall several ET petty officers I had working for me aboard ship who had IQs in the 140 to 160 range, and were definitely not "ignorant kids." And that wasn't even the destroyer Navy. I think its obvious to anyone with an IQ over 80 that we are talking about NOW, not 30 years ago. I'll admit my recent contacts with military types have been limited to the marine reservist down the hall, who came back from Iraq a few months ago, and an army general who recently retired and became CEO of a client. So let me ask you the question I asked BS. How many of those "kids" do you know? The area I live in is full of military people. Most have a Masters from good schools like MIT, Yale, ect.ect.ect Many many have Phd's and command ships that cost 3.5 billion a year to operate. Thousand's of them are engineers. While spoiled brats like BB wasted daddys money barely flunking out of Harvard, these guys became officers in the military and earned degrees while they served. While BB was hurling spitballs at a blackboard, these guys, and gals were hurling off a carrier's in 300 million dollar aircrafts. Joe |

Now why don't you tell us how you really feel? g We have a Navy commander's boat here in the marina, a Navy blue Sabre 426. It makes BB's cracked keel little C&C boat look like trash. Joe |
