Armistice Day- on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the
eleventh month
the shooting stopped

Not forever, but the Great War.... the War To End War.... or, as it
came to be called almost thrity years later: World War 1.... was over.
Since then we've had quite a few more wars.

Now it's not even Armistice Day any more. The holiday is tomorrow but
today is the time to remember & pay respects to all the men & women
who have carried the burden of serving.... fighting for our country.
