Anyone want to recommend a good wooden sailboat to build?
I'm looking for a trailer sailer, likely 16-18'.
I've read a bit about the Hartley sailboats, but I'd like some people's opinions before starting down the long path of building a sailboat. It's for use on local lakes and rivers, mailnly for weekned trips, and not for the open ocean, or sailing around the Horn. Thanks, Mike in Saskatoon |

Try a Wayfarer, a 16' Ian proctor design designed for daysailing the
english coast. There is a class of them, you can camp with it, it preforms with a strong wind, but is a little sluggish in very light airs, and is very seaworthy. You could explore lac laRonge with some confidence. But ...so many boats so little time....peter |
