Default Another AT4 Engine Question

As if there aren't enough of these questions ...

This is the toss up ??

When rebuilding an AT4, parts such as the alternator, and fresh water
cooling system with heat exchanger. Can these parts be purchased from
somewhere besides Moyer Marine? I know that Moyer is the Universal Atomic 4
Guru engine rebuild/replace shop but just so I can compare prices on parts
etc,, where else can an AT4 owner go for replacement parts?

thanks,

I can't speak for the heat exchanger, but any competent rebuilder can re
do your alternator for less than a new one....and it'll be just as reliable.

Heat exchangers are generally available, for a lot of different engines,
so you can figure out what capacity you need and also figure out how to
attach another pump (for freshwater recirculating). It's not rocket
science, but it is time consuming.

Old Lyme Marine, in Old Lyme CT, sells a lot of A-4 parts, and there is
a good sized distributor in Canada I seem to recall from my own web
searching.

Your time, your money, your choice.

Default Another AT4 Engine Question

Hi Thomas:

Yes there is! I am glad you asked that question. Let me introduce
myself.
I have been selling Atomic 4 parts on line for 3 seasons now. My
parts are cheaper and they are the same as you would buy at anyother
outlet, we all buy them at the same place. Check out my carb
rebuild kit for example, about half. I have many parts on the shelf
that are not on my website so if you do not see it call or email.
Freshwater cooling for example.
