Gil, my first impulse was to make some remark about it not being a Tahiti Ketch, if it had a hard chine.. However, once I looked at the picture I will have to say that she does look fine and still retains some of the profile and character of the Hanna design. Thanks for the visual.. I first thought about a Tahitiana, but the Tahitiana is a multi chine boat. This one has one... Maybe a one-off inspired by the Tahiti.. Anyone else has an idea? Sincerely, Gil. |

Maybe a one-off inspired by the Tahiti.. I don't (didn't) go so far as to say that it IS a Tahiti and wouldn't want to infer that. I'm just saying that it looks like a Tahiti aside from the hard chine. I suspect that it was inspired by the Hanna design. Steve |

Westom Farmer designed the Tahitiana, a multi chine boat. I actually have a set of plans. However, this boat has one chine. It certainly looks a lot like one, and I first thought it was. Gil,
Was this boat at Cape Marina in Port Canaveral? There was a steel boat I was told was a Tahiti in the yard there for a while. MMC "Gil G." wrote in message ... Gil G says:
http://keskydee.com/sailing/images/PortSide.jpg Who the heck would want to put a flying bridge on a Tahiti? ;-) I think I _may_ know it's provenance, but am checking first. Stay tuned... Steve Stephen C. Baker - Yacht Designer http://members.aol.com/SailDesign/pr...cbweb/home.htm |
